Here is a picture of me standing in front of the large bags of mate ready to be taken to a packing plant where they will be put in usually half-kilo bags to be sold in grocery stores. Half a kilo of mate costs less than one US dollar! There are many different varieties of mate, as well, such as peach, lemon, orange, grapefruit, apple, honey, mint, regular, and mate cocida which is mate put into tea bags!
